National Rally for Imam Jamil

The National Support Committee for Imam Jamil, which consists of the major national Muslim organizations in America, the Justice Fund and the Majlis ash-Shura of Atlanta call upon Muslims to attend the National Rally for Imam Jamil in Atlanta, Georgia. The rally will be on Saturday, September 15, 2001. The goal is to have 10,000 people attend the Rally. Speakers will include prominent Muslim leaders, civil rights leaders and national celebrities. The Rally will take place immediately before jury selection for Imam Jamil's trial, and the purpose of the Rally is to show Atlanta and possible jurors that large numbers of Muslims and other people of good faith are behind Imam Jamil.
