National Day of Support for Imam Jamil-August 3rd, 2001

The National Support Committee for Imam Jamil calls upon all masjids throughout North America to devote Friday August 3rd, 2001 to the support of Imam Jamil. On that day we are asking all masjids to devote the khutbah to the case of Imam Jamil and to raise funds for Imam Jamil's cause after the Jum`ah Prayers. We urgently need to raise funds to ensure that Imam Jamil receives a proper defense, in order to challenge the millions of dollars that the State of Georgia will spend to prosecute him.

The National Support Committee will provide the Support Letter from the Committee and an information brochure about the case of Imam Jamil, and we ask each masjid to make copies of these two pieces and distribute them to their members.
